Drought forces some owners to get rid of horses
Roger Norris runs a business, not a charity, but it’s hard to be unsympathetic when a desperate horse owner is on the phone.
Norris, who boards horses and runs trail rides, has taken in four horses in the past two months.

Rescue surrenders all horses
All horses were removed from Flying Ah Ranch near Jefferson by Jan. 15, Park County Sheriff’s Office personnel announced in a recent press release.

Six starving horses recovering; authorities search for responsible party
Lawton Stephens County Deputies found some severely malnourished horses on property just off of Old Highway 7 in Stephens County. ORIOLE - A criminal investigation into possible animal neglect and cruelty is under way after four allegedly malnourished horses were found and later removed Wednesday from property along Owen Lane near Oriole.
